Iowa Proves Tancredo Message Resonates with Grassroots

"Tancredo's views represent the extremist position on the issue of illegal immigration."

"Tancredo is selling fear plain and simple."

"Tancredo needs to stop."

Sadly the above quotes did not come from radical leftists, MeChA or La Raza, but from so-called 'Republicans' from the website Red State.com. These are views shared unfortunately by many of the hacks and establishment of the Republican Party.

Not by the voters of Iowa however. Despite having much less money and name recognition as his more hyped opponents, Tancredo was able to capture fourth place yesterday in the Iowa Straw Poll with nearly 2,000 votes. How was he able to do this? Simple. Tancredo's views are shared by a vast majority of average Americans. It's about time the party establishment wakes up and realizes this. Far from being "extreme" or "selling fear" Congressman Tancredo has simply campaigned on a major concern that has been completely ignored by all of the political establishment for over two decades and as yesterday shows it is a mainstream view.

The real "extremists" on the immigration issue are Bush, McCain, Kennedy and the rest of the political elite who are completely out of touch with average Americans.
