Mike Huckabee: Amnesty Supporter

Former Arkansas governor and current Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee supports "creating a pathway where people can have a form of restitution to make things right, to understand that laws have to be obeyed or some consequences have to be applied." He believes it "makes more sense than trying to deport 12 million people or build a 700 million, ehr...700 billion dollar fence."

Mike Huckabee says that "I tend to think that the rational approach is to find a way to give people a pathway to citizenship."

The quotes from Mike Huckabee contained in this blog entry can all be viewed at a webpage about Mike Huckabee maintained by Americans for Better Immigration.

Though Huckabee denies that he supports amnesty, his words indicate that he does support amnesty for millions of illegal aliens. Mike Huckabee is wrong. Millions of illegal aliens that deliberately violated a federal criminal immigration law (Title 8, Section 1325 of the United States Code) should not be given a pathway to citizenship.
